Heart of Steel: Steel's Sin
by Sage Barrus
The bandits came at the height of Riley's fifteenth summer, just as the corn was starting to get tall and before they separated the yearling calves from the herd for the drive to Kansas City. When the dust clears, Riley is left standing alone, his stepbrother leaving him to chase the criminals down and bring them to justice. He promises to return. He never does. When their paths cross in Deadwood, Riley plans to make him pay for his sins.
